Organisation of National Seminar
A ‘National Seminar on Swami Vivekananda’s contribution to India’ was organized for Ramakrishna Advaita Ashrama by the Home of Service, Varanasi on 28th – 30th Oct. 2013. It was inaugurated by the eminent Journalist Sri M.J.Akbar with Prof. K. Sudha Rao, famous Educationist as the Guest of Honour. The Seminar had 5 following Scientific sessions: Scientific Session
I : Rural Development and Message to Youth. Scientific Session
II : Human Development and Women Power. Scientific Session
III : Education. Scientific Session
IV : Religion. Scientific Session
V : Renaissance and Thought Movement.
With 7 to 8 papers in each session, a total of 38 papers were presented in the Seminar attended by a total of 390 participants. The seminar was concluded by a Panel Discussion with 5 Eminent Panelists and Srimad Swami Brahmeshananda as Coordinator. They also invited questions from the audience. The proceedings ended with a Valedictory session chaired by Prof. B.M.Shukla, very Senior Academician & Diplomat and Prof. P.Nag, Vice-Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith as Chief Guest.
On the third day (30th Oct.’13) of this National event a Youth Convention was organized. It was attended by 1475 youths both boys and girls and about 200 teachers and elders. The highlights of the convention included a guided Meditation, Bhajans and a Drama on the life of Swami Vivekananda.
